Internet Safety at Home
You may have heard about children being harmed following a contact made through the Internet. Thankfully this is a rare occurence but it is a serious issue. Children need to develop skills to be a safe when using the Internet and they need to be protected from materials which are dangerous or inappropriate.
Internet Safety @ School
All schools should have an Acceptable Usage Policy - this is a requirement of the original NGfL criteria and has been reiterated through the NOF ICT Training funding requirements to ensure that the Policy covers use by adults (teachers, helpers, parents, etc) as well as pupils.
Bullying
Bullying Online is a web site which helps parents and children deal with school bullying? It is also used as a resource by teachers and health professionals.

Parents Online is a Department for Education and Skills web based initiative designed to strengthen home-school links by helping parents to understand the growing role of ICT in schools and encouraging them to participate in their children’s education.
