Schools are uniquely placed to help empower young people to keep themselves safe. They also have a responsibility to provide a secure 'eSafe' culture within school. That responsibility lies with everyone in the school community; including teachers, support staff, governors, parents and pupils themselves.
Developing an effective eSafe culture within school is not an easy task, but the PIES model for limiting eSafety risks provides a very useful starting point.
