YHGfL - Making the most of your broadband

YHGfL were delighted to welcome Professor Stephen Heppell (www.heppell.net) to lead their Regional Conference on Learning Platforms, held at XSCAPE, Castleford.

The event brought together nearly 200 School and Local Authority colleagues to engage in presentations and discussions. Delegates were encouraged to share their experiences about learning platforms (VLEs).

As part of their Learning Platform Project, YHGfL had commissioned Cleveratom (www.cleveratom.co.uk) to both research and analyse the learning journeys of seven schools across six of the region's local authorities.

"Virtually There" - the resulting book/DVD - was launched at the event and will be made available free of charge to all schools and local authority representatives in the Yorkshire & Humber region in the coming weeks.
